Martyna Zienkiewicz is the creator of Language Surfing, an innovative method of learning Spanish through real-life experiences. A philologist, journalist, and traveler, she has spent years uncovering the real Spain for her students—not the Spain from textbooks, but the one you feel, taste, and experience. Her passion for Spanish and Latin American culture was shaped not only by her studies in journalism at the Universitat de Barcelona and Columbia University in New York but also by her solo travels across Latin America. She has explored Colombia three times, as well as Mexico, Argentina, and Uruguay, immersing herself in local cultures, dialects, and traditions. She also interned at the prestigious newspaper El País, where she deepened her understanding of Spanish culture. Through these experiences, she realized that the best way to learn a language is to live it—thus, the idea of Language Surfing was born. Since 2014, Martyna has organized over 100 personalized courses in Barcelona, Valencia, and Cullera, working with students from all over the world—from the U.S. to Saudi Arabia, France, and Poland. She has developed unique teaching materials based on real locations, blending language learning with culture, art, and music.
